Thanks to Happy Scrappin' Scrapbooking, I was a happy stamper last night. Some time last fall I'd preordered some of the newly released Cuttlebug A2 embossing folders. They were mailed out last Friday and landed here yesterday. I may not have posted much at all lately, but these got my creative juices flowing. They're such fun!
On this first card I used the new Birds and Swirls embossing folder on metallic blue cardstock. I then used a new Quickutz bird die for the bird and embossed it with the Goosebumpz curls. The sentiment is from a clear set of Studio G dollar stamps.
I used a couple of embossing folders on this second card, the Swiss Dots for the border and the Diamonds in the Rough for the main part of the card front. I accented the embossing with some Nick Bantock Damson plum ink and stamped the sentiment with that same ink. The sentiments came from another clear set of dollar stamps. I embellished them a bit with Copic spica pens. The sparkle looks great in real life, but isn't as pronounced in photos, unfortunately.
I have several more of these new embossing folders that I haven't used yet. I hope to find more time today to try them out.
Welcome to Indigo Inklings. This is where I talk about some of my rubber stamping projects and digital graphics. My blog name comes from the fact that I love the color indigo, and I think the notion of inklings covers my introspective side as well as my love for getting inky with my projects. I hope you find something here to interest or inspire you.
